We’re always happy to hold dates provisionally for a few days while you firm up holiday plans.
We’ll usually follow up with a call and have a quick chat to say hi and to get everything agreed. Or we'll send an email just to acknowledge that we've got your dates and to get things going. We’ll pop over the booking form - sorry, but first-time guests will have to supply some extra information at this stage but it’s a one-time only job!
With the booking form, we will also ask for a 20% deposit (that’s 20% of your total booking cost). Once we’ve received your form and deposit, we will drop you an email with final confirmation and a note of the balance to pay on check-in. The deposit itself is fully refundable if you have to cancel anytime up to 14 days before your check-in date; after 14 days this becomes non-refundable and goes into Zak and Reg's treats pot.
You can settle up the balance when you check your guests in.
With prior agreement, we're happy to do late check-outs up to 6.00pm but will reserve the right to charge £10 per dog if we run later than this. Any fees incurred can be settled when you collect.
A familiarisation visit before a first-time stay is not just one of those mandatory bits of licence red tape, it also just makes sense doesn't it? We offer ‘Meet, greet, eat and snooze’ tasters - arriving in the afternoon for a getting to know everyone session, completing the all-important VIG guest profiles, then a bit of a bimble around the village, dinner and overnight snoozing so we can see how it all goes. Just don’t feel bad when you rock up in the morning and they don’t want to leave!
Each taster is charged at a £30 flat rate regardless of how many hounds we are entertaining. This can be paid as you try to coax your hound(s) back into the car.
Bookings for 2025 are coming in so if you'd like to let us know your plans soonest, we can hold your dates for you!
Being licensed for four guests does give us more scope to help and there's currently reasonable availability throughout the year - and it's no problem if you want to run some 'possibles' by us so we can explore the options together.
